@@johnmckinlay67 I had a look and even though I was only one person back (you probably) I'm not there. I remember someone filming at the front and they were with a couple pals. Must have been you. Saw them a couple weeks ago at 2000 Trees, they done a silent disco live set in a forest to close the festival, was absolutely fantastic. So surreal to take your headphones off and just hear Jess screaming and the sounds of sticks hitting electric drum pads.

Yeah I saw a clip from that on Calva video reels. My pals Dead Pony & my weans Gallus were also playing down there. In the past I would have went down for it, but sadly for me, my circumstances have changed in these past few years.

I get what you mean sir, it happens a lot in the smaller venues. Sometimes I wonder if the sound desk audio is the same as people are hearing in real life. I use a Tascam recorder for separate audio (my camera audio alone is crap), but even with a Tascam, if the venue audio is crap, then so will the end product, ie the videos. Thanks for the comment mate.

@@johnmckinlay67 i didnt mean your video i means the venue. Yes, small venues are not going to invest in good sound systems but it was almost painful hearing the bands who were very talented musicians. They must think if they turn it up loud enough it will disguise it. It doesnt.

@@Yengi-cw2ox absolutely. Not every venue can compete with the sound in say, the Concert Hall, who not long ago had just an upgrade in excess of £100K, I mean that is crazy money for a wee venue to try to fund that. Even in the much lauded King Tuts, a venue which I love, they can have their off moments when the sound is not up to par, usually too heavy on bass or when an artist goes to either side of the stage with their mic, it creates a lot of feedback in there. Just wee things I notice, being around these places every week.

Yes, I filmed the entire set. First 3 songs like this (from the pit) then security will tell me it's time to go as usual, so I went upstairs beside my fixed cam. Started filming with the other cam, which isn't as good from up there, but still decent enough to upload. The fixed cam will do for most of that anyway. Will get them up soon mate. Love them Tony, and strangely enough I was on their FB just a moment ago. Hug & Pint is a fine wee intimate venue, but I probably won't be along for it. I've been filming gigs the past two nights and my body is a bit sore from it all. Enjoy tonight mate, they are wonderful !

The bands drummer (Finlay) already has them, but I have left them unlisted prior to their release, just out of respect, in case they make an official video, and mine would just spoil that ! @@st.fiacre6685 thanks again man. I do love their A.I. stuff, having saw how Jess puts them all together. Having said that, they are a different sounding band from what they once were years ago. This is probably better described as Calva Louise Version 2, but still the same band personnel, and always great live. @@johnmckinlay67 I was nitpicking, you got a good mid range - low frequency EQ while eliminating all the high frequency scratchiness. Sounds great. Better than 99.9 of the cell phone vids out there. lol
